Day 1: The Shred

A couple of posts back I talked about how I was going to start the 30 day shred challenge as soon as I got the DVD.  Well lucky me, it came yesterday after work so I decided today would be my first day.  My goal is to do it every morning before work so i can be inspired to eat better all day.  Also, I am hoping it'll help me have more energy in the morning so work doesn't seem to drag on. So here is how I would describe the first day: Successful Exhausting Hard  It took me forever to cool down..the cold shower didn't help that much.  I was sweating buckets.  It was hard and sad to say I am only on level one. BUT I DID IT! Question: Those of you who have done the shred, what have you found to be most successful? I am planning on doing each level for ten days.  Am I supposed to do all three levels everyday?  I am still trying to figure it out so any tips and suggestions you can offer I would appreciate it. Hope tomorrow morning goes just as well and that I am not qu

Music Monday

So this song came on my Pandora station at work today and I remembered how much I love this it. Also, here is one of my all time favorites.  I could listen to it over and over. For some reason, I can find the official video for it on YouTube but not when I go to add it through blogger.  I love their music video for this and the way everything is put together but I still love the live version.  Enjoy!  I hope you all have a wonderful Music Monday.  Re-discover ones you love and enjoy the memories they posses.

Andrew and Cassie

My most recent clients are the soon to be Andrew and Cassie Pastor.  They were so fun to design for.  The knew what they wanted and we came up with a fun way to incorporate argyle, part of their wedding colors, and more pictures of them. I am in love with the final product and what matters most is that they are too.  I couldn't have asked to work with a better couple.  The final product: Announcements:5x5, double sided, 80# linen paper. Inserts: 3.5x2, one is double sided, 100# soft card stock.  The save the date and registry card are back to back and the sealing insert is on a card of its own. They were sent out in a natural color 5.5x5.5 envelope. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Motivation: 30 day challenge

So this adorable blog I follow is starting the Jillian Micheals 30 day shred on August 22nd.  I read her post today and decided I should do the same thing.  I always need extra help and motivation when it comes to being healthy.  I find it's really hard to get in shape and eat healthy all by yourself.  My husband tries his best to support me but it doesn't always work out.  He loves his cookie dough and he is naturally skinny so he doesn't worry too much about it.  He really does a great job but I have been feeling lately I need more motivation/help. So she is setting a goal and I figured I would too. Why not? I didn't get as in shape this summer as I would've wanted to and I am ready to try a new workout.  It's only 30 days . I can do this. I don't have a start date yet because I just ordered my DVD on Amazon.com today.  As soon as I get it I will set a start day and start the challenge. I would LOVE it if any of your wanted to join in. It's alway

SLOW

Yeah...working on it So I was so excited to post about all the things that have been happening lately.  Unfortunately, I haven't gotten pictures of all those events yet and you can't blog without pictures right?  That's what I've been told. I am waiting to get some from my sister and then off of my husbands phone.  I'll get it together though.  Fun things of late: Boating with Robyn Hiking to Bridal Veil Falls with Derek Family Reunion at Bear Lake Finished invitations for Cassie's wedding I admit this list is more for me so I can keep on track with what I want to blog about. Thanks for sticking with my through the busy summer months.  Hope you're summer is one of your many summer of dreams.

A Whirlwind Weekend

This past weekend was fabulous.  It was jam packed with so many fun activities.  My dearest, long time friend Robyn was in town for a week.  We went out to dinner and just talked on Wednesday and once I found out she was going to be in town for longer than another day we started making plans. Friday Movie Under the Stars  You sit on the hill underneath the capitol building. Bring blankets, food, and friends.   The played Despicable Me.  We brought the whole family. It was a blast! Side story about this.  We get there and park and see that everyone around us is much more prepared.  They have mattresses and tons of food and a lot of them are in their PJ's. So Robyn and I decided to go on an adventure to a local market to get some snacks.  We took my little brother with me.  We thought it wouldn't be a bad walk at all.  Who knew that it would be completely downhill and the walk back up wouldn't be very pleasant in flip flops.  BUT....we made it!  We brought back
