I can't decide which one I like better

Wedding Thank You Card

So Derek was taking a nap this afternoon so I decided to continue to work on my designs.  Someday I hope to have a real small business designing cards, invites, announcements, senior pages, small books, etc.  For that to ever happen I need to continue to work on things even when I don't have current clients. So today's design is a thank you card for a newly married couple.  It's so important to sent out thank you cards for your wedding and it's even nicer when there is a personal touch to them.  I love this design.  I have a lot of ideas running around in my head i hope to get busy creating soon.  Until then, I hope you enjoy this.  All my upcoming creations will always be posted on my other blog, Powerful Creations. Simple note card design that can be turned in a postcard as well I hope all of you are having a wonderful week, even though it's Monday. Hopefully you're all getting to enjoy some sunshine.

Chicken Enchiladas

So even before my mission in Arizona, I have been in love with Chicken Enchiladas but I am so picky as to what kind I like.  I had this amazing companion who spoiled me all the time by cooking these amazing chicken enchiladas.  This is my adaptation of her recipe.  Derek and I can't get enough of them.  Seriously though.  Give them a try and let me know what you think.  The great thing is that most of these ingredients will be things you most likely have in the house. Chicken Enchilada Ingredients: 1/2 block of Cream Cheese 3-4 cups of Shredded Cheese 1/4 C of Chicken Broth 1 10.5 oz of cream of chicken Salt and Pepper to taste 2-3 Boneless, Skinless Chicken breasts 1 can of Herdez Salsa Verde 8-10 Flour Tortilla 1 4oz. can of green chiles or jalapenos if you like super spicy. Directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees Defrost your chicken breasts Cute your chicken into cubed pieces Cook them in frying pan until golden brown.  You can salt and pepper here

California Love

Almost a month ago, Derek and I went home to California to welcome his sister home from her mission.  It was filled with fun times and lots of doctor's appointments for Derek.  It was nice to be back to where we have lived for most of our married life.  Soon this will be surpassed with Provo, much to my dismay.  Started our trip with a day at the beach. A nice sunburn followed. One of our favorite places: Bob's Big Boy in Burbank. Had a family dinner before picking Cassie up at the airport. Group Shot with family and friends! Best. Story. Ever. This old man decided to stand in and pose for our picture.  No one even noticed it until much later.  Of course this was hilarious.  As you can tell Derek is not in this photo because he was a gentlemen and went to get the car.  Naturally, he must be added to complete the family photo. So glad Derek could join us...ha He just looks so funny on this man's body.  I had to share. On our way to visit some friends in

Creativity

Unlike many others, I can't draw...at all. I've attempted a million times and now I am just too embarrassed I don't even try. Thankfully, my husband is very talented this way so our kids have a fighting chance. Now since I can't draw, I color and pretty well I might add. It's my favorite thing to do while watching a movie or flying on an airplane. It relaxes me and also allows me to release all my stored up creative energy. The other thing I loooove to do when I have an opportunity is to create things on Adobe's Creative Suite. Seriously, So. Much. Fun. Right now Derek and I are helping Martha design the shirts for the family reunion this summer and I also get to do his sister's wedding invites. So excited. Their colors are lavender and black with argyle. I taught myself yesterday how to make up my own argyle swatches on Adobe Illustrator. Fabulous. I think we have them just about done. It's a 5x5 announcement. One side, the invite. The oth
