Powerful: Derek + Laura

So I mentioned last week that I was really looking forward to this weekend. I knew it was going to be relaxing and exactly what I needed. Friday afternoon started with a prenatal massage and a pedicure. Everything was perfect. My parents and siblings set me up with this for my birthday. I have never felt so awesome during pregnancy. I wish that massage could've lasted like 4 hours. I felt relaxed for the first time in a long time. I need to get massages more often. I also loved that I got to have my feet taken care of. They even gave me a paraffin wax treatment. Loved every minute of this. Later that night Derek and I headed to Park City for a weekend getaway. For my birthday I told him that I needed a nice weekend away from work, cold weather, stresses of being pregnant, etc. We found a Groupon deal for a condo. So glad we did it. My best friend Robyn got married this last weekend. I am sad that I didn't have more time to take pictures but I did capture a few special moments. Her and Luke look so happy together. This wedding was very special to me. Robyn is more than a best friend, I feel like she is my sister. It's not very often you find a friend you can truly be yourself with. She knows everything about me, helped me through some of my most embarrassing moments, and been there for me when things have been difficult. I am so grateful to have her as a part of my life. I wouldn't have missed her wedding for anything. On her wedding day I was privileged to be a bridesmaid, her escort in the temple, and help her get dressed and ready for her special day. That meant the world to me. I am so glad I was able to truly show my support for her. I cried like a little baby in their sealing. So I haven't had time to blog lately because life has been to hectic.  It needs to slow it's pace just a little.  Right now I am trying to get caught up on things at work and Derek is trying so hard to catch up on all his classes.  We got home late Tuesday night from our California vacation.  Yesterday we finally unpacked and bought food.  My poor husband was starving for real food. We went to to California for my sister-in-law's wedding.  It was tons of fun but busy as well. I think I maybe averaged 5 hours of sleep a night.  Maybe that's a lot to you but I am used to 7.5 to 8 hours a night.  It all started as soon as we got off the plane on Wednesday night.  Shopping and preparing for the bachelorette party I would be co-hosting the very next day.  The party was a blast and deserves a post of it's own with pictures.  We'll have to wait until I get a hold of those from my other sister-in-law.
