Graduation Weekend

So the day has come...Derek has graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. It's always been a hard and busy major but this last year has been especially difficult. We hardly saw Derek at all this last semester even on the weekend. Tons of projects, homework assignments that would take 12-16 hours, and the big 8 hour FE exam are just some of the things. Add in to that applying for jobs, job interviews, working in SLC and a baby, life has been pretty busy for him. I am so proud of him and all of his hard work. We are excited to have more time with him...he'll still be working but he won't have things to do when he gets home except for hang out with us. No more homework! He is still debating about getting a Masters and plans on rethinking it after he takes a little break. He's been going to school year round for the past 3+ years. His break is well deserved. Anyways, his family came in to town and we had a fun and busy weekend.  With my f...

College Graduation

So once upon a time I graduate from college. In fact, it was just this last summer-July 23rd, 2010 to be exact. It was one of those days where I was finally pleased with myself for accomplishing something that I had set out to do. (Even though it may have taken forever...) It felt so good to be done. Now that graduation is over I work for Ancestry.com in the MyFamily.com section. I work for member services. Not the glamorous job you dream of right out of college but it'll do for now. They treat their employees like gold and that's something that's important to me. Ok so this is way overdue but I wanted to share them. Pictures of my graduation: Outside of the building where I spent all my time...The Spori My Mother Martha..where were you? It's official Derek's family flew in for my graduation. We spent the next day at Yellowstone Partial family. So grateful them came Can't wait till the day this is reversed! On my way to the ceremony...

Graduation in sight

2 more days.. So I am super excited. I am study for my last final and just taking it tonight from home. So excited. Then that's it. I am done. Derek and I have the whole day off tomorrow. Too bad he's been sick for the past four days. It's breaking my heart. This semester has been great and I have learned so much. I should be getting all A's this semester. One class is still a mystery to me but either way I finally got it together my last semester. Go figure. It's like on a mission...as soon as you finally figure it all out you are sent home and put to work on figuring out the next task in life. Heavenly Father never lets you get to comfortable and for that I am grateful. I learn so much that way. So now I sit, wait, clean, and pack until friday when my family and Derek's family come in to town to see my walk! Yeah! College..it's been a nice ride but I'm sooo ready to get off.
