To get me feeling festive...

So with Halloween fast approaching I realize that I still don't have a costume for Brooklyn or for us. It'll be amazing if I can manage to put something together. It has been hard living in temporary living the past couple of months, especially this month. All I want to do is decorate for fall and Halloween, bake delicious goodies, and sit out on my back porch enjoying hot cocoa as the weather starts to get colder. We can't even buy any pumpkins cause we will be moving in to our home before Halloween. Hopefully we can still hit up a pumpkin patch and carve some pumpkins before the big day. So to get me in the Halloween spirit I did a couple of things. I bought a cute onesie for Brooklyn and designed something that I can't wait to print out and frame for my mantel once we move in to our very first home. So here is all I have done so far to be festive and it might just hold me off and little longer. It's her 1st Halloween so I had to! You can download t...

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your holiday season. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So the past couple of days I have really been thinking about how I can reflect the true meaning of Christmas in my home. We live in a small two bedroom apartment and there isn't much room to decorate. This morning I was watching the video Wise Men Still Seek Him   and felt inspired to create a printable for my home. It's a good reminder to not only seek Him this time of year but thr...

Welcome to Fall

So fall officially started on Saturday so I find it only fitting to write about our fall activities from the weekend. Not all are fall related mind you but we had such a fun weekend. I am so grateful that Derek is being great at organizing his time between school and his two jobs so that we can spend some time together before the baby comes. Take a look at our weekend full of fun. {Derek all dressed up for the career fair} {Chalk The Block Festival at The Riverwoods} {The UP House}  {Oktoberfest at Snowbird} {Derek was loving the German food} {Best sauerkraut he's ever had. Way to go German's in Utah} {Listening to the Alperhorns. They were awesome!} {My mom, the fun German teacher, and Nate getting in on all the Polka action} {Paula Deen's Peach Cobbler. Delicious} Ok so here is my pregnancy update section: We actually took some nicer pictures this weekend. I am glad I have these to capture my belly growth. People are still sayi...

Design Time

For those of you visiting from Pinterest you can order these from my online store . There you can find all my creations that will be customized for you and available for digital download or print ordering. Thanks for checking them out. You can find my portfolio of work on Powerful Creations website as well.  So as I have mentioned before - I love to design. It is something I would love to do more of but haven't had the most time to devote to it with my current job. So currently I take jobs as they come and have a blast doing them. It is something that brings me great joy and allows me to express my creativity. Baby announcements are one of my favorite things to design. I am excited to do my own here pretty soon. Recently I had the chance to put one together for my adorable nephew Bennett. Since he is just so cute I couldn't help myself and made three of them. They loved the first one but it's hard to go wrong with a baby as cute as Bennett. Check them out and let m...

Holiday Creations

I decided today would be the perfect time to start working on my Holiday Cards. I really love how they are coming together and I always love a good opportunity to design. Someday I hope to do more of it. It is definitely a passion of mine. Hope you enjoy the start of my holiday creations.

Andrew and Cassie

My most recent clients are the soon to be Andrew and Cassie Pastor.  They were so fun to design for.  The knew what they wanted and we came up with a fun way to incorporate argyle, part of their wedding colors, and more pictures of them. I am in love with the final product and what matters most is that they are too.  I couldn't have asked to work with a better couple.  The final product: Announcements:5x5, double sided, 80# linen paper. Inserts: 3.5x2, one is double sided, 100# soft card stock.  The save the date and registry card are back to back and the sealing insert is on a card of its own. They were sent out in a natural color 5.5x5.5 envelope. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Wedding Thank You Card

So Derek was taking a nap this afternoon so I decided to continue to work on my designs.  Someday I hope to have a real small business designing cards, invites, announcements, senior pages, small books, etc.  For that to ever happen I need to continue to work on things even when I don't have current clients. So today's design is a thank you card for a newly married couple.  It's so important to sent out thank you cards for your wedding and it's even nicer when there is a personal touch to them.  I love this design.  I have a lot of ideas running around in my head i hope to get busy creating soon.  Until then, I hope you enjoy this.  All my upcoming creations will always be posted on my other blog, Powerful Creations. Simple note card design that can be turned in a postcard as well I hope all of you are having a wonderful week, even though it's Monday. Hopefully you're all getting to enjoy some sunshine.
