Harry Potter

Last weekend Derek and I had so much fun.  Friday night we went to my friend, Traci's, wedding reception.  It was wonderful to see her so happy and so beautiful.  Then we went over to our good friend Jackie and Par to celebrate Jackie's Birthday.  Par made dessert and we had fun playing some games.  We even learned a new game called donkey.  So glad we were able to celebrate Jackie's birthday with her.  I've known her for quite a while now and it's so fun to still be friends. Saturday was all about the boat.  It was Martha's family boating birthday celebration trip.  You saw pictures in last weeks post. Then we rushed back, sun burned and all, and quickly got ready to wait in line to see Harry Potter.  I was so excited to see it.  Maybe I am not the world's biggest fan because i haven't read all of the books but I still love Harry Potter.  Plus, I have read the second half of the 7th book and that counts for something right? ha  We ate Jimmy Joh

Boating

Most Saturdays we go boating with our family.  It's our favorite summer activity.  We went 4th of July weekend, which was a blast, and this last weekend we went out to celebrate my sister 21st birthday! It was so nice to have the whole family present, except those that are living in Texas .  Our weekend 4th of July boating celebration. We went out a couple days that weekend. Martha's 21st Birthday Celebration! I don't want summer to ever be over. I love: Boating. Tan Skin. Smell of Sunscreen. Summer Clothes. Sun. The list could go on forever.  I hope all of you are enjoying a wonderful summer.

Right now I need...

How To Be Totally Miserable

So this past weekend Derek and I stayed the night at my parents house.  Our mission president's homecoming was early in the morning on Sunday and it was an hour from Provo.  We decided to cut down on our morning driving time and stay in Draper.  Good choice.  Anyways, while there I started reading this book I found on my sister's night stand: The Book  I have only read certain sections but I love the humor he uses to put you in your place.  I wanted to share some quotes I have really enjoyed: "Fear is that little darkroom where negatives are developed." -Michael Pritchard " 'He who waits for roast duck to to fly into mouth must wait a very long time.' If you want life to give you a roast duck, or even a small order of fries, remember: You've got to go out and get it! Happiness doesn't deliver!"- John Bytheway
