Wonderful Wedding Day

As mentioned in my last post, Derek and I attended a wedding for a wonderful friend this past weekend. It was like a mini college reunion. I loved it. Above are some of my great friends from college, Emily, and my husband. So grateful they are a part of my life.

Everyone of the girls had super fabulous shows on and springy dresses. I am the one of the end with black shows and a black and gray dress. How boring, I know. However, I do love this picture. Craig did the photo editing and it looks fabulous!

Sorry my pictures are never in chronological order. I don't know how to use blogger that well so I just take what I can get. This picture is when Craig and Emily came to visit after Craig got in town. I hadn't seen Craig since September so this was very exciting. I love my Craiggers! He will be doing some EFY in Provo this summer and I am so excited to see more of him.

The handsome groom and beautiful bride. They looked fabulous the whole day.

The sealing was wonderful. I have never been to a sealing where the sealer was just inspiring. He opened my eyes up to so many things. I felt blessed to be a part of this sealing. Then the luncheon was awesome and fun afterwards. All the college friends sat at a table and we just laughed and caught up. Then the reception was later and it was done so well. Annie sang a couple songs to her new husband and it was great to see the love they share with one another. I am excited for their future together. Mike has been a friend of mine since I was young. ha I met him and his twin brother, Matt, when I was 18 years old but we became really good friends after they both returned home from their missions when I was 20/21. I can't believe I have known them for so long. Love those Briney twins and am grateful for their friendship throughout the years. Annie is wonderful. I don't know her super well but I do know that she is great for Mike and they bring out the best in one another and that is the making for an eternal relationship.

Tomorrow Derek and I leave for California to spend sometime with his family and to see his sister come home from her mission. I am excited to blog about that when we return. Until then, have a great week!

Big News!

So this is big news for the Power family. I know many of you know a million other people who are currently pregnant but before you roll your eyes and skip over this post completely (ha), read on and hear a little bit about our story. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. We just found out yesterday that we are expecting a baby girl. She is due to enter this world on January 3, 2012. So far she is healthy and growing strong. She is growing about a week ahead of schedule. Maybe she'll come early...like before the end of the year. Derek and I will celebrate our 3rd anniversary on the 16th of January...so not too long after our sweet girl is born. A little about us: Derek: One of the things I love most about Derek is how patiently he accepts trials in his life. He always has such a good atitude about what life has handed him. When he was 11 or 12 he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Then at age 19 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer.  He has now been in remission for 5

Please Tell Me...

Please tell me you guys have done this before because I just can't be the only one. This has happened twice to me now and I just feel ridiculous about it. I am shopping and Brooklyn is in her carseat sleeping and the diaper bag is in the main part of the cart. I am getting my groceries and just start putting stuff in around the carseat and diaper bag. I check out, get my bags, and head out to the car. I load the groceries in the car and then take Brooklyn out to put her in the car and I find stuff I haven't paid for. It slid underneath her carseat or the diaper bag and there it is. First time, it was pie crust and the second time it was shampoo. I try to check everywhere but something always seems to slip underneath the carseat and in my hurry I just miss it. I feel so dumb but at this point Brooklyn is buckled in and I am in a hurry to get her home. For those of you with small children you know how difficult it is to repack it all and get back in there when they could wa
