My Job

This is where I work.

I was hired on January 27th, 2011 onto the team and sister company of

Quickly, I learned everything and I became bored and wanted to find a job that was challenging.

Two weeks ago I was promoted to the Executive Office at Very exciting. We handle all escalated calls, billing, banking, awards, specials offers, social media, wholesale, etc. We pretty much do a lot of stuff and I am so excited about this. The pay raise isn't a bad thing either. I just found out today I get to be in charge of Wholesale and Social Media. Yeah for getting to manage Facebook and Twitter for, along with agent and customer calls.

I am so grateful for this change of pace and for this answer to my prayers.

Two months ago I threw out my back and haven't been able to do much except see a physical therapist 2-3 times a week. Needless to say, these bills have been adding up quickly as I switched to new insurance plans through work. What a blessing to get this promotion so we can afford to pay off my visits and still stay within our means.

I am so grateful. I am so blessed.

Thanks to all of those who supported me during these past couple months where things were difficult.

So the past couple of days I have really been thinking about how I can reflect the true meaning of Christmas in my home. It's a good reminder to not only seek Him this time of year but throughou…

Hazel's Birth Story

Warning: This is long and is written in detail as it's meant to be my record of her birth.
Well it's been a long time since I've blogged. Life gets busy and it's hard to keep up. However, I found myself wanting to record the details of Hazel's birth story. She's already 4.5 months old and I am finding that I am starting to forget small things. I want to write them all down before I forget. So here I am, sharing our story, so that I can remember and share it with her someday.

Hazel Anne Power joined our family on September 3, 2017 at 8:40 pm weighing 7 lbs 5 oz and 19.5 inches long. She is my smallest baby. She's 6 oz less than Brooklyn and 1 inch shorter. She is just darling and we are so glad she's a part of our family.
So I guess I'll start at the beginning. I found out I was pregnant right after Christmas time and was able to share the news with my family that was in town for the holidays. We return home from our trip and I start back up playin…

Big News!

So this is big news for the Power family. I know many of you know a million other people who are currently pregnant but before you roll your eyes and skip over this post completely (ha), read on and hear a little bit about our story.
I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. We just found out yesterday that we are expecting a baby girl. She is due to enter this world on January 3, 2012. So far she is healthy and growing strong. She is growing about a week ahead of schedule. Maybe she'll come before the end of the year. Derek and I will celebrate our 3rd anniversary on the 16th of not too long after our sweet girl is born.
A little about us:
Derek: One of the things I love most about Derek is how patiently he accepts trials in his life. He always has such a good atitude about what life has handed him. When he was 11 or 12 he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Then at age 19 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer.  He has now been in remission for 5 years. We are tr…
