A Beautiful Bride: Robyn's Wedding

My best friend Robyn got married this last weekend. I am sad that I didn't have more time to take pictures but I did capture a few special moments. Her and Luke look so happy together.

This wedding was very special to me. Robyn is more than a best friend, I feel like she is my sister. It's not very often you find a friend you can truly be yourself with. She knows everything about me, helped me through some of my most embarrassing moments, and been there for me when things have been difficult. I am so grateful to have her as a part of my life. I wouldn't have missed her wedding for anything. On her wedding day I was privileged to be a bridesmaid, her escort in the temple, and help her get dressed and ready for her special day. That meant the world to me. I am so glad I was able to truly show my support for her. I cried like a little baby in their sealing. I was so happy that they now get to form their own family and eternal unit. Luke is such a sweet guy and takes such good care of my Robyn. I couldn't be more thrilled.

Here are some of the pictures i got to capture of her special weekend. I will have to showcase some of Juli's pictures (her sister and photographer) once they are edited and posted. I know they'll look great.

Birdals and Groomals. I didn't start taking pictures till they were together.

She is just too pretty. Ridiculous.

I wish all the happiness and love possible to Luke and Robyn Phillips. I can't wait to see you in a about a month. Get that guest bedroom ready! Also, try and make the weather warm because we are going to the sandbar even if it's not!

I also post all of my free printables here . Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your holiday season. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So the past couple of days I have really been thinking about how I can reflect the true meaning of Christmas in my home. We live in a small two bedroom apartment and there isn't much room to decorate. This morning I was watching the video Wise Men Still Seek Him   and felt inspired to create a printable for my home. It's a good reminder to not only seek Him this time of year but thr...

Big News!

So this is big news for the Power family. I know many of you know a million other people who are currently pregnant but before you roll your eyes and skip over this post completely (ha), read on and hear a little bit about our story. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. We just found out yesterday that we are expecting a baby girl. She is due to enter this world on January 3, 2012. So far she is healthy and growing strong. She is growing about a week ahead of schedule. Maybe she'll come early...like before the end of the year. Derek and I will celebrate our 3rd anniversary on the 16th of January...so not too long after our sweet girl is born. A little about us: Derek: One of the things I love most about Derek is how patiently he accepts trials in his life. He always has such a good atitude about what life has handed him. When he was 11 or 12 he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Then at age 19 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer.  He has now been in remission for 5 ...

Tot School: Week 1

A couple of weeks ago I was talking to some of my friends about starting some kind of regular class where we can get our kids together once a week to learn and play. As an added bonus, we all get to chat as well. That night I started researching different activities that are good for kids ages 18 months-3 years. I put together an 8 week schedule that will include different themes each week so that our children can be exposed to many different things. I couldn't wait to get started. I e-mailed my friends my ideas/schedule and once I knew who could participate I went shopping to pick up supplies. Everything I have needed so far I found at the Dollar Tree and Micheal's. Today was our first class and it was a lot of fun. Our theme this week was animals. As everyone arrived I let them pick out a folder and decorate it. I also took a picture with the kids and their moms. We started by reading a couple of animal books I had on hand. The kids loved them because they were flap books a...
