14 Days of Love

So I was struggling for a while for ideas for Valentine's Day. I mean we just got done with our birthday's, Christmas, and our Anniversary. Since we just bought ourselves a new car we have counted it as our Anniversary gift and most likely our Valentine's day gift. So in an attempt to be creative and show my love I decided to do 14 Days of Love. With each small gift or note there is an "I Love You Because..." note. Each day I get to fill in something different I love about Derek.

Day 1:

Smokehouse Blue Diamond Almonds

Since I'll be gone for the next couple of days I had to hide Derek's gifts. Each morning I'll text him with a clue that will lead him to the next surprise. I am so excited to do something fun for Derek. He's doing so well in school he needs some fun rewards. He was really excited to get his first present today. Yeah for small gifts!

Big News!

So this is big news for the Power family. I know many of you know a million other people who are currently pregnant but before you roll your eyes and skip over this post completely (ha), read on and hear a little bit about our story. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. We just found out yesterday that we are expecting a baby girl. She is due to enter this world on January 3, 2012. So far she is healthy and growing strong. She is growing about a week ahead of schedule. Maybe she'll come early...like before the end of the year. Derek and I will celebrate our 3rd anniversary on the 16th of January...so not too long after our sweet girl is born. A little about us: Derek: One of the things I love most about Derek is how patiently he accepts trials in his life. He always has such a good atitude about what life has handed him. When he was 11 or 12 he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Then at age 19 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer.  He has now been in remission for 5 ...

32 Weeks

32 weeks, 2 days here How Far Along: 32 weeks, 4 days Size of the Baby:  Almost 4 pounds and about 17 inches long Weight gain/loss: 3.6 pounds in the last month bringing me to 12.6 pounds total Sleep:  It's gotten worse. Oh well. At least the trains are the least of my worries now. Any sleep advice for the 3rd trimester? I'll take any I can get. I wake up with the worst back and abdomen pain and I have to rotate multiple times throughout the night since my hips, legs, arms, and hands all start going numb. ha I am ready to buy a recliner and sleep sitting up. It might work out better. Best Moment of the Week: My birthday and my baby shower. (More to come on these later) How could you not have an awesome week with those two things in the mix?
