So this past weekend Derek and I stayed the night at my parents house. Our mission president's homecoming was early in the morning on Sunday and it was an hour from Provo. We decided to cut down on our morning driving time and stay in Draper. Good choice. Anyways, while there I started reading this book I found on my sister's night stand:
The Book |
I have only read certain sections but I love the humor he uses to put you in your place. I wanted to share some quotes I have really enjoyed:
"Fear is that little darkroom where negatives are developed." -Michael Pritchard
" 'He who waits for roast duck to to fly into mouth must wait a very long time.' If you want life to give you a roast duck, or even a small order of fries, remember: You've got to go out and get it! Happiness doesn't deliver!"- John Bytheway
My Mom gave me that book for Christmas in high school! HAHA How funnY!
ReplyDeleteI know it's old but this is my first time reading it. So far I love the words of wisdom.
