Park Love

Texas is having some gorgeous weather lately. I don't even mind the upper 80s as long as its not too humid. I forgot how sticky everything feels when it's 80-99% humid. Somedays I just daydream that I'm in Hawaii instead of Texas because that's where humidity is actually worth it. Ha Anyway, moving on to what I came to blog about. With this nice weather Brooklyn and I spend almost every morning at the park. She'll usually let me  walk/jog 2 miles on the trails at the park before getting completely restless. Then she's off and never wants to leave. Every time we park our car and I let her out of her carseat, she sees the park and screams with excitement. I love it and all the park people think it's pretty cute too. Our little Brooklyn sure can bring a smile to any face.  So grateful to live in a wonderful city full of parks, walking trails, and friends to have park play dates with. Brooklyn sure is happy in Texas.  This is pure joy  Playing with some friends ...

15 months!

I can't believe she is already 15 months old. Time is just flying by. I feel like there have been so many changes and she has grown so much in the past 3 months. It's amazing to me the new things she learns everyday and her vocabulary keeps growing. She impresses me daily. We have had a very busy 3 months. Ever since this girl started to walk she no longer wants to sit still and play inside. It got worse after her cousins came to visit. She loved playing with them everyday and going to the park with them. She was so sad to see them leave. Ever since then she wants to be at the park every day. I don't blame her. Here is what Brooklyn has been up to the past 3 months: Started really walking a couple days after her 1st birthday. (1/8/14) Got tons of teeth and is currently working on pushing her bottom canines through. I am not even sure when her top molars came in. ha Currently she has 12 teeth. Officially weaned to milk which was a hard process. She HATED whole milk. ...

My apologies

So it has been a while since I blogged. In order to catch up, I started with the blog I'm doing for my sisters. They're both currently serving missions; one in London and the other in Japan. I accidentally posted one of their updates on my blog. Sorry about that. There will be a blog post soon about all of our fun happenings in Texas! Until then, here's a cute picture of Brooklyn.

1 year old!

My sweet daughter Brooklyn is 1! I can't believe that. That means I have been a mom for 1 year. Good news is we both have survived! She's grown so much sine she's been 1. She didn't become a toddler overnight but as soon as she could walk she left those baby years behind her and hasn't looked back. I on the other hand seem to always be looking at her like my little baby. I guess I need to get with the times and realize my baby girl is no longer a baby. Here are some of our fun activities and happenings from her 12th month: 1st dentist appointment: 12/11/2103 Learned to clap: 12/19/13 Tried whole milk and wasn't a fan (still isn't) Celebrated her very first Christmas Celebrated her 1st birthday  Pointed, and still points, at everything Will open the door if you ask her to Knows how to turn on and off the light switches when you ask Loves to read and loves her blanket Is more of a sound sleeper than I knew. She slept through a fire alarm and a lo...
